-사도행전 10장 31,44절- 말하되 고넬료야 하나님이 네 기도를 들으시고 네 구제를 기억하 셨으니 ... 베드로가 이 말 할 때에 성령이 말씀 듣는 모든 사람에게 내려오시니
-고린도 전서 12장 13절- 우리가 유대인이나 헬라인이나 종이나 자유자나 다 한 성령으로 세례를 받아 한 몸이 되었고 또 다 한 성령을 마시게 하셨느니라

이 메시지에서 주요한 것은 몸의 머리께서 사실상 그분 자신인 만유를 포함한 영 안으로 그 분의 몸의 침례를 완성하셨다는 것입니다. 우리는 이미 오순절 날에 그 몸의 머리이신 그리 스도께서 유대인 신자들을 그 영 안으로 침례 주셨다는 것을 지적했습니다. 그것은 그리스 도께서 그 몸을 그 영 안으로 침례주신 첫 단계이자 첫 사례였습니다. 그런 다음 그 몸의 머리이신 그리스도는 고넬료의 집에서 모든 이방 신자들을 그 영 안으로 침례주셨습니다. 이것이 두 번째 단계이자 두 번째 사례였습니다. 이 두 단계, 두 사례에 의해 그 몸의 머리 이신 그리스도는 그분의 몸 전체를 그 영 안으로 침례 주셨습니다.

이미 보았듯이 첫 번째는 오순절 날 유대인 신자들의 경우이고, 두 번째는 고넬료 집의 이 방 신자들의 경우입니다. 이 두 경우가 성령 침례가 성취된 것에 대한 두 경우입니다. 성령 께서 믿는 이들 위에 임한 다른 세 경우-사마리아의 믿는 이들의 경우, 다소의 사울의 경 우, 에베소의 믿는 이들의 경우-는 성령 침례라고 부르지 않습니다. 더욱이 사도행전에 기 록된 수많은 회심 사례에는 성령께서 믿는 이들 위에 경륜적으로 임했다는 언급이 전혀 없 습니다. 사도행전에서는 오직 두 경우만이 성령 침례라고 불리우며, 이 두 경우를 통해서 그 몸의 머리이신 그리스도께서 영 단번에 성령 안에서의 그분의 몸에 대한 침례를 성취하셨다 는 것을 우리 모두가 보기 바랍니다.

기 도 : 주 예수여! 단 번에 당신의 몸에 성령 침례를 주심을 감사합니다. 몸 안으로 침례 받았으므로 나는 당신 안에, 만유를 포함한 그 영 안으로 잠기게 되었습니다. 당신의 몸의 지체인 것을 기뻐합니다. 아멘.

Baptizing the Entire Body Once for All

-Acts 2:1- And as the day of Pentecost was being fulfilled, they were all together in the same place. (4) And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, even as the Spirit gave to them to speak forth
-10:31- And he said, Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your alms have been remembered before God. (44) While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those hearing the word.
-1 Cor.12:13- For also in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and were all given to drink one Spirit.

In this message...the main thing we need to see is the Head of the Body completing the baptism of His Body into the all-inclusive Spirit, who is actually He Himself. We have pointed out that on the day of Pentecost, Christ, the Head of the Body, baptized the Jewish believers into the Spirit. That was the first step, the first instance of Christ baptizing the Body into the Spirit. Then in the house of Cornelius He, as the Head of the Body, baptized all the Gentile believers into the Spirit. This was the second step, the second instance. By these two steps, these two instances, Christ, the Head of the Body, baptized His entire Body into the Spirit.

As we have seen, the first is the case of the Jewish believers on the day of Pentecost, and the second is the case of the Gentile believers in the house of Cornelius. These two cases were the two instances of the accomplishment of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. The three other cases of the Holy Spirit coming upon the believers--the case of the Samaritan believers, the case of Saul of Tarsus, and the case of the believers in Ephesus-are not called the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, in the great many cases of conversion recorded in Acts, there is no mention of the Holy Spirit falling upon the believers economically. May we all see that in Acts only two cases are called the baptism in the Holy Spirit and that through these two cases Christ as the Head of the Body accomplished the baptism of His Body in the Holy Spirit once for all. <p.
