믿는 것은 [영적인] 사실을 실체화하는 것입니다. 일단 우리가 어떤 것을 보면, 우리는 그것을 실체화합니다. 일단 우리가 믿으면, 우리는 사실을 실체화하고, 그것을 소유합니다. 만일 당신이 믿음이 없다면 당신은 사실을 실체화하지 않을 것입니다. 그림의 색상은 오직 눈으로만 실체화할 수 있으며, 피아노의 소리는 오직 귀로만 실체화할 수 있습니다. 어떤 천의 직물은 오직 손으로만 실체화할 수 있습니다. 마찬가지로 하나님의 말씀과 그분의 약속들은 오직 믿음으로만 실체화할 수 있습니다. 다음과 같이 마지못해 하는 기도는 필요없습니다. '주님, 나의 승리가 되소서, 나의 생명이 되소서, 나의 거룩이 되소서.' 오히려 우리는 하나님께 말해야 합니다. '하나님, 당신은 나의 승리이십니다. 당신은 나의 생명이시고 나의 거룩이시므로 당신께 감사하고 찬양합니다. 난 당신께 감사하고 찬양합니다!' 형제자매님들, 우리는 항상 시험을 만납니다. 많은 어려움이 닥치고, 가혹한 말이 우리 귀에 들립니다. 하나님께 이길 힘을 달라고 기도해야 합니까? 아닙니다. 우리는 다음과 같이 말해야 합니다. '주님, 당신께 감사하고 찬양합니다. 당신이 나의 승리이십니다! 주님, 당신이 나를 위해 이기십니다. 당신이 날 위해 모든 것을 견디심을 인해 감사하고 찬양합니다. 당신이 나의 머리이시고 난 당신의 지체임을 인해 감사합니다. 당신은 포도나무이시고 나는 가지입니다. 당신은 내게 모든 것을 공급하고 계십니다.' 그분은 이미 그분의 말씀에 따라 모든 것을 우리에게 공급하고 계십니다.

  Believing is substantiating the [spiritual] facts. Once we see something, we substantiate it. Once we believe, we substantiate the facts, and we have it... If you do not have faith, you will not substantiate the facts. The color of a painting can be substantiated only by the eyes, the sound of an organ can be substantiated only by the ears, and the texture of an object can be substantiated only by the hands. In the same way, God’s Word and His promises can be substantiated only by faith. We do not have to hesitantly pray to God, saying, “Lord, be my victory, be my life, and be my sanctification.” Rather, we should say to Him, “God, You are my victory. I thank and praise You because You are my life and You are my sanctification. I thank and praise You!” Brothers and sisters, we encounter temptations all the time. Many difficulties confront us, and harsh words fall on our ears. Should we pray for God to give us the strength to overcome? No, we should say, “Lord, I thank and praise You because You are my victory! Lord, You are overcoming for me. I thank and praise You that You are withstanding everything for me. Thank You that You are my Head and I am Your member. You are the vine and I am a branch. You are supplying me everything.” He is already supplying us everything according to His Word!
